Celebrating 10 Years of Biblical Counseling of Arizona!
by Joe Leavell
In 2015, Biblical Counseling of Arizona became a non-profit counseling ministry. What began as a shared vision between Lisa Pearson and Kathi Bishop soon became a movement of grace and truth. Together, they introduced to our area a compassionate, Gospel-centered approach to counseling that was simply biblical.
BCA was born out of a clear need within the Christian community: a place where believers could talk honestly about life’s struggles and find practical, Christ-honoring solutions. Over the years, the ministry has grown far beyond its humble beginnings, providing counsel to thousands of believers throughout the Phoenix metro area and beyond.
At the heart of what we do is a deep desire to serve the local church. We come alongside pastors and congregations, helping people find hope in Christ and reconnect with His body. Our goal is simple: to see believers walking closely with the Lord, restored in spirit, and ready to engage their church family with renewed joy and purpose.
As we reflect on ten years of ministry, Director Joe Leavell sat down with our founder, Kathi Bishop, to look back on her journey of how God graciously wove each piece together to bring BCA into being and has continued to sustain it ever since.
